- Put 3 inches of water in your deep pan or saucepan and bring to the simmer level
- Make a double boiler by placing a glass or stainless steel bowl on top of the pan
- Keep the steam in having a good seal. Avoid direct heat by ensuring there is a gap from the bottom of the bowl to the simmering water in the pan.
- Put the leftover pasta in your stainless steel bowl plus slowly add your choice of milk, cream, or chicken broth.
- Stir for a few minutes until the steam from the water starts working and heats it.
- Continue to stir until the sauce becomes liquid and releases from the leftover pasta. Keep stirring so you work in the extra milk or cream you added.
