For example, if you have shrimp with tomatoes in pasta or in a Mexican shrimp cocktail, it stays good longer. This is because tomatoes and things like jalapenos are acidic, and that acidity stops bad germs from growing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, it’s important to remember not to leave shrimp out of the fridge for more than 2 hours.<\/p>
