The Best Instant Pot Corned Beef and Cabbage Instant Pot

A little pressure goes a long way, Homemade corned beef and cabbage in less than an hour. Give your taste buds a little taste of Ireland.

Ingredients

  • 3 cloves
  • 2 sticks celery
  • 6 carrots
  • 1 onion
  • ½ cup parsley
  • ½ cabbage
  • 1 pound potato
  • 8 peppercorns
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

  • Insert the Cloves into the side of the onion
  • Cut the celery into 3 inch stalks
  • Peel and cut the potato - cut into thirds roughly - put in a water bowl to stop going brown until ready to cook
  • Place the meat in the pot
    Add the onion (with the cloves), 2x carrot, celery and bay leaves. Add water up to the 2/3 mark on the instant pot and cook for 75 minutes with a quick release.
  • Take out the meat and vegetables that we used to season and cook with the meat.
  • Next add in the carrot and potatoes and cook for 5 minutes with 10 minutes of natural pressure release
  • Now take out the carrot and potato and taste the liquid broth. Season it with salt and pepper and taste again till you are happy. It has a nice taste. Then set the instant pot on to saute and add in the cabbages and boil for approximately 2 minutes.
  • You are now ready to plate up - cut the corned beef into 1/4 inch thick slices and arrange the vegetables in the plate and pour on about half a cup of broth. Garnish with parsley or similar.
